The Smith Community explores the SMITH families of Posey County, Indiana in the 1800's. At least some of the Smiths are believed to have migrated from North Carolina. Here also is the slim inforamtion I have on the SPAIN family, also of Posey County.

Much of the information presented comes from county histories. I am working at verifying this information with research of obituaries and county courthouse records.
